Work Experience		Bureau Chief of Children’s Mental Health Services                                                                            9/2013-Present I have the privilege of coordinating services for families of children with mental health needs. This includes working in tangent with community stakeholders, and youth speakers to coordinate the annual System of Care Conference Department of Child Services Mental Health Initiative Manager                                              6/2009-9/2013 In this role I performed as the liaison with the Division of Mental Health and Addictions to provide services for families with children facing mental health needs but lacking Medicaid as a pay source. Department of Child Services Family Case Manager                                                                        9/2006-6/2009 In this role I assessed reports of child abuse and neglect in order to assist families with a plan to live as a healthy family.

WHY		Through my professional experience I have encountered many people who have great desires but are not aware of the steps to get to the path that will take them to their destination.   I have had many life challenges and desire to assist others as they navigate through their challenges. Through my professional experience I have encountered many people who have great desires but are not aware of the steps to get to the path that will take them to their destination.   I have had many life challenges and desire to assist others as they navigate through their challenges. As a Youth Speaker I strive to support young people and their families through challenges. I have experience as teenage mother, a mother of multiples as well as expertise in navigating the Indiana mental health and child welfare systems. I utilize this expertise to speak the language of those we serve as we serve them. Both of these systems can be difficult and intimidating. However, the population I have the most passion to serve has had experience in both. I work to assist with the process of making the experience as family friendly as possible.
